Frequently asked questions

What time should I arrive at Chelsea Old Town Hall?

Please aim to arrive at 15:55 for a 16:15 start. The registrars at Chelsea are famously punctual, and we would hate for you to miss the "I dos" while looking for the entrance on the King’s Road!

How do I get there and is there parking available?

We highly recommend using public transport or taxis where possible. Sloane Square Station is roughly equidistant between the two venues and there are numerous local buses. If you would prefer to drive, there are secure car parks off Sloane Square (for Chelsea Old Town Hall) and in Pimlico (near Wildflowers).  You may wish to book in advance to secure a space.

How do I get from the ceremony to the reception?

We will be organising transport to whisk everyone from Chelsea Old Town Hall to Wildflowers. However, if the London sun decides to shine, it is a very pleasant 20-minute stroll between the two venues. You will be welcome to choose whichever suits your shoes best!

What time will the night end?

The celebrations will conclude at 23:00. There will still be public transport at that time, but you may wish to pre-book transport for then to ensure a smooth journey home.

What is the dress code?

Ultimately, wear what you feel comfortable in.  If you are looking for specific guidance, for gentlemen, we would recommend lounge suits or traditional Scottish dress if that's your heritage. Ladies, think cocktail attire: there’s no need for a full-length gown unless you have something particularly fabulous that simply demands an outing.

Can I bring my children?

To give everyone the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children. That said, we are mindful that several of our guests will have very little ones for whom alternative arrangements will not be practical.  Please reach out to us if that is the case.

Can I take photos?

We will have a photographer to capture the big moments, so we ask that you do not take photographs during the ceremony. Feel free to snap away once the formalities are out of the way!

What should I do about dietary requirements?

The food in Wildflowers is fantastic and we want everyone to enjoy it. Please let us know of any specific allergies or dietary needs when you submit your RSVP so we can ensure the kitchen is well-prepared.

Do you have a gift registry?

No. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all and we very much appreciate you making the journey to join us. However, if you wish to honour us with a gift, a contribution towards our future together would be deeply appreciated.
